Second biannual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC (Town Official Language Implementation Committee) was held at Assam rifles training center & school (ARTC&S), Dimapur under the chairmanship of commandant, ARTC &S, brigadier Gurjap Singh on February 23.
During the meeting, TOLIC Major, Bhavana Sharm addressed the gathering with a welcome speech while Naib Subedar (Hindi translator) Deshraj of ARTC&S gave a detailed brief on various aspects of the TOLIC meet. Representative members of various government offices presented their inputs and reports on their progress on implementation of Rajbhasha Hiondi in their respective sectors.
After assessing the progress on implementation of Hindi in central government offices in Dimapur, brigadier Gurjap Singh stressed upon importance of progressive use of Hindi and exhorted all members to implement the policies issued by the government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy.
Earlier, the commandant also emphasised on how motivational steps can be resorted for implementation of Hindi by means of incentives and appreciations in all Central Government Offices. Commandant applauded efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for their keen efforts on wide publicity of the official language.
Meanwhile, in order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst the offices of central government, TOLIC shield scheme 2016-2017 was introduced in which offices were adjudged as first, second and third in order of their dedicated efforts on implementation of official language policy. Office of the chief engineer, Sevak Project, food corporation of India, regional office, Dimapur and office of DIG, Range , CRPF, Khatkhati were awarded first, second and third positions respectively.
11 tactical air centre, 173 Bn CRPF, No.1 main group Assam Rifles, Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles and 32 Assam Rifles were also given commendation certificate for their good work in the field of official language implementation.
Later, valuable suggestions and feedbacks on implementation of “Rajbhasha Hindi” were invited by the secretary Major Bhavana Sharma and the same was addressed and discussed in the meet. 39 members of central government offices situated in Dimapur attended the meet.
