The Bible Society of India (BSI), Dimapur Auxiliary, held its 23rd annual thanksgiving from April 18–19 at Khabung Karong Baptist Church (KKBC), organised by BSI Senapati Branch. Around 1000 delegates attended the celebration.
On April 18, Rev. Dr. N. Paphino delivered the message, explaining the coverage of Dimapur Auxiliary and sharing from 2 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the Word of God in season and out of season.” He emphasized the continuity of preaching and teaching the Word of God, noting that BSI not only provides Scripture in the heart languages of the people but also seeks to transform lives in Christ.
On April 19, Rev. L. Simon Raomai, NEITAC member and president of All Manipur Christian Organisation, addressed the gathering. He stated that the Bible transforms individuals, churches and society, and credited the Word of God for shaping spiritual life, education and development in Northeast India. He reminded that Scripture offers comfort in despair, strength in weakness and hope in times of chaos, urging believers to return to the Bible, read, meditate and live by its teachings.
The programme featured special songs from Khabung Karong Baptist Church Youth, BSI Kohima Branch, Taphou Naga Baptist Church and Rakoveine. Appreciation mementos were presented to branches with the highest contributions—Kohima, Churachandpur and Mokokchung—while individual contributors were also acknowledged. Gratitude was expressed to the hosting church, KKBC, for its service.
