To generate awareness among the common masses about the importance of traffic rules and regulations, Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) in collaboration with Yes Bank initiated a Safety Awareness Ride around Dimapur city, Saturday.
The ride was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dimapur at SP’s office.
Talking to Nagaland post, one of the members of NMC said the main objective of the club riding on their bikes was to put across the message that two wheeler riders should not take risk but wear helmets at all costs.
He said the ride was part of the road safety week which will be observed from January 11 till 18 all over the country.
50 riders from NMC took part in the ride wherein the participants put up posters on roadsides to make people understand the dangers of using cell phones while driving, listening to music, riding two wheelers without a helmet etc.
