Minister Temjen Imna who is in Mokokchung for the 28 Koridang by-poll called up a press conference at hotel Whispering Winds on Thursday where he addressed the media. At the press briefing, the minster expressed gratefulness to all the villages that they have come across in the 28 Koridang A/C, saying that the reposne has been very promising.
He further said that the imposition of law and order has brought upon the initiative of clean and fair election. For this, the minister thanked the village council for allowing this to happen. He said Daochier Imchen of BJP is on the winning foot and that Daochier Imchen would be winning with a high margin in this by-election. He also observed that some of the intending candidates are giving up in many ways and added that internal negotiations are going on that they may also come on board in support of the PDA consensus candidate.
He also said that good sense has been prevailed in some of them (other candidates) and will be seeing a majority win. The minister further expressed concern about law and order and said he will be meeting up DC and SP for stringent law and order measures to be taken. Even on Thursday, the minister added that some elements have disturbed Longkhum Mangmetong area by pelting of stones, which according to him is very unconventional, and condemned it.
He further added that he condemned such acts not only in Koridang but in any place that tries to break law and order, threaten or create havoc, adding that they will not just stand and watch. He said that he will ensure all citizens are at peace and be able to face the democratic festival of democracy on April 9.
He also expressed his hope that through the media that the message of thanksgiving and gratitude from the alliance and the BJP party in particular is sent across on behalf of the intending candidate Daochier Imchen to all the electorate of 28 Koridang A/C for imposing their faith in the leadership of a young and dynamic leader that is going to do good work and governance not only for Koridang but also for the state. .
