National BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and Assam minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Nagaland chief minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu at his private residence at Ruleizou, Kohima on Sunday and congratulated him for taking over the helms of affairs of the State.
According to CMO media cell, at the discussion, Himanta suggested that entire Northeast states should be made a single tourist circuit to promote tourism in the region. Keeping this in mind, he said that the annual Hornbill Festival of Nagaland has been included in the tourism promotion programme of the Government of Assam.
He further hoped that all this discussions would be taken up in the next meeting of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA). Former chief minister and DAN Coordination Committee chairman and advisor Finance, T.R. Zeliang also attended the meeting.
