DIMAPUR: BJP Mahila Morcha, Nagaland, organized the Mahila Jan Aakrosh Padyatra (Torch March) in Dimapur under the theme “Her Seat, Her Right, Her Time,” raising a united voice for women’s rights, dignity and equal representation.
According to BJP Nagaland Media Cell, the march was flagged off by BJP state executive member Sanuo Ngullie, whose presence added momentum to the initiative and inspired participants to stand united for women’s empowerment.
Addressing the gathering, BJP Mahila Morcha state president Tsachola Rothrong emphasized that women’s reservation is a rightful claim and not charity. She urged women across Nagaland to raise their voices, participate actively in the democratic process and work collectively to secure their rightful place in decision-making bodies.
State leaders, members of BJP Mahila Morcha and supporters joined the padyatra, expressing solidarity and commitment to strengthening women’s voices in governance and society.
