BJP Nagaland has vehemently condemned the inhuman act of “terrorism” perpetrated in the busy market area of Kokrajhar town 220 kms from Guwahati, on August 5 and expressed deep anguish at the loss of innocent civilian lives.
In a condemnation note, state BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu general secretary (Media), Jaangsillung Gonmei, stated that “such barbaric acts should not continue further if the region is to develop at par with the rest of the nation.”
“There are always better ways in a democracy to find a solution to every problem and need not be only the barbaric means of terror causing undue pains and hardships to the innocents which subsequently bears no fruitful results but only further stalemate,” it said.
Appealing to all for unity in order to prevent such “evil methodology in future” BJP Nagaland maintained that the people and the government have to come together and fight to end such practices of terror.
Further, the party expressed its solidarity with the government and people of Assam to bring about positive changes, peace and all round development in the north east region.
