BJP Nagaland observes Kamal Deepak Jyoti program

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nagaland, observed the Kamal Jyoti program all over the state. A Kamal Deepak Jyoti program was held at Hotel Japfü, Kohima, on February 26, along with the rest of the party all over the country simultaneously. The Kamal Jyoti is an outreach program for party workers, leaders and legislators to interact with central scheme beneficiaries and highlighting various schemes launched by prime minister Modi. 

A press release from BJP Nagaland state coordinator for Kamal Jyoti program, state general secretary, Jaangsillung Gonmei stated that state party president Temjen Imna Along, minister of Higher and Technical Education, spoke about various schemes initiated by prime minister Modi and his concern for the development of the North East people. He emphasized on the party’s efforts for the betterment of the people’s lot, irrespective of tribes, communities and regions. He encouraged party workers to work hard with proper coordination to take the party to new heights. 
Jaangsillung Gonmei highlighted features of the outreach program. He said that through this program, the party workers are to connect with the people and build support for the party in the forth coming elections. He highlighted statistics of central scheme beneficiaries in Nagaland during the last nearly five years under PM Modi’s NDA government.
Central scheme beneficiaries also presented accounts and their experiences offering suggestions for further improvement. Kuputo Shohe, chief spokesperson, shared his experiences when assisting people of his village to avail various rural schemes and encouraged party workers to avail the same benefits.
The program was chaired by Kavili Achumi state general secretary, and commenced with a prayer by Rev. G. Kiyeto Sema, pastor, SABCK. The program concluded with lighting of the Kamal Deep candles amid chanting of “Phir Ekbar, Modi Sarkar”.
