Dimapur 1 BJP mandal organised a blood donation drive under “Seva Pakhwara”, at District Hospital, here, on Friday. Addressing the media, advisor, Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi described blood donation as a precious gift which saves lives. He stated that donating blood also gave a sense of relief and pride to the donor knowing the fact that his/her blood would be saving someone’s life. Tovihoto informed that around 50 members from Dimapur 1 BJP mandal signed up for the blood donation and expressed hope that more would turn up. Meanwhile, blood bank in-charge, District Hospital, Dr. T Temsu expressed gratitude to BJP for organising the “much-needed” blood donation camp and that the blood bank felt “very rich” now.
He informed that BJP karyakartas have been continuously donating blood since September 17, and the blood bank had more than 100 units in stock.
