Bharatiya Janata Party national secretary and Nagaland in-charge Anil K Anthony arrived in the state on Tuesday to hold consultations with party leaders in view of the forthcoming by-election to 28-Koridang Assembly Constituency.
The seat had fallen vacant following the demise of BJP legislator Imkong L Imchen in November last year. Party sources said the visit was aimed at reviewing organisational preparedness and finalising strategy, including selection of a suitable candidate. As per the seat-sharing arrangement within the ruling alliance, the BJP will be fielding its candidate for the bypoll.
