BJP to unveil revamped organisation team this week

NEW DELHI, AUG 16 (AGENCIES): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to announce a major organisational reshuffle soon, with a completely revamped team likely to be unveiled as early as Monday or sometime during this week.
The proposed changes follow the takeover of new BJP president Nitin Nabin and are aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational structure ahead of the 2029 elections.
The anticipated restructuring is expected to combine experienced leaders with a younger generation of party functionaries, while also giving greater representation to women leaders.
According to high-level sources, the BJP’s new organisational team is likely to include a mix of seasoned leaders and younger faces.
The reshuffle is being viewed as part of a broader effort to prepare the party for the next major electoral cycle. With the 2029 Lok Sabha elections serving as a long-term objective, the BJP is expected to focus on building a leadership structure capable of combining organisational experience with the energy and reach of younger leaders.
Women leaders are also expected to receive significant representation in the revamped team.
The proposed changes could mark an important transition for the party’s organisational machinery following Nitin Nabin’s appointment as BJP president.
The new BJP setup is also expected to bring some prominent Union ministers into key organisational responsibilities.
The inclusion of ministers alongside experienced party leaders could strengthen coordination between the government’s functioning and the BJP’s organisational network. It could also help the party align its political messaging and organisational activities more closely as preparations for the next electoral cycle gather pace.
However, the final composition of the team is expected to depend on internal discussions and the completion of the organisational exercise.
The proposed reshuffle comes with the BJP looking beyond immediate political challenges and preparing its organisation for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
Cabinet reshuffle may follow: Sources indicate that a Union Cabinet reshuffle could follow once the BJP’s new organisational team is finalised.
The possible Cabinet changes would come after the party completes its internal restructuring and could potentially involve adjustments in ministerial responsibilities or the inclusion of new faces.
However, details of any Cabinet reshuffle, including its timing and the ministers who may be affected, have not been officially announced.
The current BJP organisation is led by a four-member Marg Darshak Mandal comprising PM Narendra Modi, veterans LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Next in the hierarchy of the BJP organisation is the 12-member Parliamentary Board, led by PM Modi and comprising Nitin Nabin, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, BS Yediyurappa, Sarbananda Sonowal, K Laxman, Iqbal Lalpura, Sudha Yadav, Satyanarayan Jatiya and BL Santosh.
The Central Election Committee, chaired by the PM, comprises all Parliamentary Board members, as well as Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and BJP Mahila Morcha chief Vanathi Srinivasan.
