The State BJP unit has welcomed former Congress leaders into the party fold at a formal function attended by BJP national general secretary (Org) V. Satish, including State BJP unit president Visasolie Lhoungu and other BJP leaders.
In a press note, BJP general secretary (media), Jaangsillung Gonmei said T. Meru, former Youth Congress president (Dimapur), James Akham, former general secretary, minority cell and traders’ cell, Visasizo Peseyie of 8th Western Angami and Viseto Natso, former Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress secretary joined the BJP.
Meanwhile, V. Satish also concluded his two day organizational tour programme to Kohima on July, 6. During the period, Satish held several meetings with the party’s Core Committee members, MLAs, state office bearers, booth level full time Karyakatta party workers, state frontal presidents and general secretaries.
Satish was accompanied by Vijay Kumar Gupta chairman Assam Finance Corporation; Anil Kumar Das, vice-chairman Assam Finance Corporation; Ranjit Mazumdar OSD to Assam CM; R.K Ghosh, vice chairman Assam Linguistic Minority Development Board and Niren Baishya, general secretary BJP Majdoor Morcha, Assam.
Addressing the party workers, Satish recalled his tenure as the North East in-charge ten years ago and encouraged the party workers to sincerely work hard. He also appealed to the party Karyakatas to reach out to the public and spread the information and assist the people on the various schemes launched by the Central government for their benefits.
On July 5, V. Satish also inaugurated the state BJP’s office at C.K. Arcade, Kohima in the midst of a large gathering of party workers and the State president Visasolie Lhoungu along with state party officials. CBCK pastor, C. Puro delivered the invocation prayer.
