Black money charge to divert issue: Yitachu

Spokesperson of ruling NPF in Kohima camp Yitachu asserted that the allegation of “black money laundering” was “just to divert the issue” and that no amount of “false allegations” can bring about changes in the state. Speaking to Nagaland Post Friday evening, Yitachu said the allegations “were manufactured documents” and informed that the chief minister would file a counter FIR (criminal case) as he (CM) denied having any bank account outside the country.
He said such fabricated documents over which the allegations were based, would not lead to change of leadership as it had no impact on Zeliang’s supporters. He said the attempt was purely to divert the attention of the people and that “truth alone will prevail”.
Yitachu said the doors of the NPF remained open to those from Sovima camp and members should return to the main party instead of getting involved in dubious activities.
On Governor’s stand expressed to the rival NPF that the crisis within NPF was an internal party, Yitachu said it was the stand adopted by Central BJP. He said BJP never encouraged any dissidence in Nagaland or any part of the country and exuded confidence that Governor would act in accordance with the constitution and respond to the cabinet recommendations for a floor test on January 20. Meanwhile chief minister T.R. Zeliang, NPF president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and working president are currently in Delhi to meet national BJP leaders.
