Block level orientation programme on training and capacity building

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services department conducted a combined “block level orientation programme on training and capacity building” from August 1 to 2 under “National Livestock Mission 2018-19” for Botsa and Chiephobozou blocks, with progressive farmers of piggery, poultry and dairy at Botsa village council hall.

A press release from Dr. Vikuolie Mezhatsu, VAS, Vety. Dispensary, Chiephobozou stated that, CVO Kohima, Dr. Joseph M. Angami briefed the farmers on the importance of backyard farming for socio-economic upliftment and self employment. 

He also emphasized on timely vaccination of animal and poultry birds to prevent various diseases. 

Resource person, Dr. Vikuolie Mezhatsu deliberated on “Housing of livestock and poultry birds with emphasis on proper site selection”.  

Vote of thanks was given by Zhapise, who chaired the programme.
