The body of a non-Naga, aged around 35 and identified as Sanjay Gogoi has been disposed off by east police station.According to a notification by OC of East Police Station, Bendang, the deceased was found unattended and seriously ill, on December 25 at around 1:00 p.m. near the railway station at the Taxi stand when a pastor and church members admitted him into the District Hospital. The notification said that in spite of medical care, he expired on December 26 at 3:30 a.m. An inquest was conducted and police found no evidence of foul-play. It added that the body was moved to the Morgue the same day and after completion of the 72 hours wait, the corpse was disposed off. Except for his name and age, no other details to indicate identity or relation could be obtained, the OC said. The deceased has been identified as late Sanjav Gogoi (35) with dark complexion.
