Body of Youth with Crushed Head Found in Bushes in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad

Dhanbad, May 12 (IANS): A shocking murder case came to light in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district on Tuesday morning after the body of an unidentified youth was discovered lying in bushes behind the Chandmari Yagyashala ground under the Dhansar police station limits. The victim had been brutally killed by unidentified assailants who allegedly used a heavy stone to crush his head and face so severely that identification of the body became nearly impossible for both police and local residents. Morning walkers who spotted the blood-soaked body immediately alerted the authorities, and a Pulsar motorcycle found abandoned near the crime scene is believed to have belonged to the deceased. The gruesome nature of the killing triggered widespread panic and anger among residents in the surrounding area.

Investigators who rushed to the scene have launched a detailed probe into the incident, with senior police officials personally visiting the crime scene to oversee evidence collection. Early findings suggest the youth was killed at a different location and his body was subsequently dumped in the bushes in a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence and mislead investigators. Police are currently exploring all possible angles including personal enmity and old disputes, while CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed and local informers have been activated to help identify and trace the accused. The victim’s identity is yet to be confirmed, with investigators working to establish it through the registration details of the abandoned motorcycle, while the body has been sent to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
