Body recovered

Kohima Police recovered a bullet-riddled body below Taklu ground, Lerie colony, Wednesday at around 2 p.m. According to police, the deceased later identified as one Thomas Puomai (35) of Kodom village, Senapati district, Manipur, bore four bullet wounds, two on the chest and one each on the neck and back. Police recovered four empty shells and two bullet heads of 9mm pistol from the spot. Meanwhile, the MIP/GPRN in a press release alleged that late Thomas, a former NSCN activist who was discharged from service a long time back, was pulled from his house by the NSCN (K) and shot dead.
