Chairmen of six colonies and gaon buras (GBs) of Purana Bazar have set a seven-day deadline for all bogus voters under five polling stations to provide proof of their residence, failing which they threatened to strike off their names from the voters’ list.
This was decided in a meeting held here, where it was resolved to delete all the migrated and bogus voters from the voters’ list.
The meeting asked the bogus voters to submit their proof of residence and voter cards to their respective colony chairman and GBs.
The colony chairman and GBs also urged the public of Purana Bazaar to submit all their relevant documents for retaining their names in the electoral roll. This was stated in a press release issued by Purana Bazar GB Niuto Awomi.
