Book on Konyak crafts,textiles & attires released

A book titled, “The Konyak Naga Indigenous crafts, Textiles and Attires” authored by C. Lemei Konyak and edited by C N Moe was released on August 1 at the Conference Hall of Konyak Baptist Church (KKBC) Midland, Kohima.


Dedicating the book, state chaplain, Rev. Yamyap appreciated the author for her dedication to preserve the cultural heritage of Konyaks, which was on the verge of disappearing.


He went on to say that Konyaks used to read most historical books written by foreigners, but the author enabled people to see the rich culture and heritage from native perspectives.
Rev. Yamyap then encouraged the author to keep writing for the Konyaks and document historical accounts and stories for future generations.
