A book titled “Out of the Shadows” authored by Wapongmar Imsong, was released at the Library of Kaketshir Telongjem Aoyimkum Dimapur (KTAD) on December 11.
The book was released with a dedicatory prayer by pastor, Aoyimkum Baptist Arogo, Rev I Temsu Jamir.
Delivering the author’s note, Imsong shared that the book was deeply personal and born from his own experiences of navigating loneliness. Reflecting on the challenging phase in his life, the author explained how he sought answers to the struggles faced, eventually discovering a sense of purpose through faith and self-reflection.
He recounted turning to the Bible and other books for guidance, ultimately concluding that loneliness was not caused by society or Church, but was an individual journey that one must confront and overcome. “Only when we face loneliness head-on we can truly understand its impact and learn to rise above it” he said.
He noted that the 12 chapter book explores the theme of loneliness and provides insights on overcoming it. He also shared that he wrote the book prayerfully and expressed hope that it would serve as a helpful companion for readers navigating their own struggles with loneliness.
