Aboi Area Student Union (AASU) on Thursday stated that after it announced to impose indefinite road blockade with effect from October 3, 2016, the BRO has requested for extending deadline by two weeks. In a press release, AASU said the OC 100 RCC (GREF) along with other officials visited the union office on September 29 and assured to do all preparatory works required for the bituminous works at Aboi town. BRO officials also reportedly assured the union members that work would start as earliest as possible and complete the work before the end of November on the stretch over which metalling has been done. AASU said it assured the officials that the request for deadline extension would be considered and that the union would render all support to the unit for good and quality work.
