Bible Society of India (BSI) Dimapur auxiliary staff and family members along with translation adviser, Meyijungla, translator, Toshi and volunteer, Lhokishe Shohe celebrated advent Christmas on December 20 at Kevichusa hall Bible house.
Editor in chief Nagaland Post, Geoffrey Yaden graced the celebration as the speaker.
In a press release BSI Dimapur auxiliary said that Yaden said that Christmas celebration should not be mere celebration, but should come from inside the heart, so that real Christmas begins. He further stated that Christmas celebration was not like other celebrations because the coming of Jesus Christ will be with the full power of God’s love and grace for the whole world.
BSI president Tseminyu branch and executive engineer PWD Tuensang, Er. Nimo Kath also delivered the greetings wherein he quoted from the book of (Psalms 126:5) “He who sow the seeds weeping shall harvest joy”. He further urged the gathering to rejoice in the Lord always as God is loving. The moderator of the programme was Christina Kachari, while senior auxiliary secretary, Rev. Dr. Z. K. Rochill welcomed the gathering with introduction. After the programme Christmas cake was shared followed by fellowship lunch.
Nagaland Police: Nagaland Police also celebrated pre-Christmas at PHQ Central Hall, Kohima on December 21. DGP Nagaland, Rupin Sharma delivered the Christmas greeting where he reminded the officers and staff to serve with dedication.
Christmas message was delivered by Rev. Manen, Pastor Police Baptist Church, Chumukedima which was followed by light refreshment, reported DIPR.
