DIMAPUR, AUG 12 (NPN): Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a series of customer-centric digital initiatives and special offers to mark India’s 80th Independence Day.
In a statement, BSNL Nagaland extended greetings to customers, citizens, business partners, associates and employees, reiterating its commitment to providing reliable, secure, affordable and inclusive digital connectivity across the country.
The initiatives announced include the Re. 1 Freedom 2.0 mobile offer, under which new customers can experience BSNL’s mobile network for Re. 1. The offer provides 1 GB data per day, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls with a validity of 24 days.
BSNL has also introduced the Fiber Freedom Plan at a special introductory price of Rs. 1,111 per month. The plan offers internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps, 5,000 GB monthly data and access to more than 25 premium OTT platforms.
As part of its digital entertainment services, BSNL mobile subscribers can access BSNL Entertainment TV, powered by Tango, free of cost through the BSNL Selfcare App. The service provides access to live television channels and on-demand entertainment content through mobile devices.
BSNL has also highlighted its Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS), which uses satellite connectivity to provide voice communication in locations where conventional terrestrial mobile networks may not be available.
The service is aimed particularly at remote and geographically challenging areas and communication-sensitive locations, reinforcing BSNL’s role in extending connectivity across diverse terrains. BSNL said the initiatives were aimed at enhancing customer experience, expanding digital services and making advanced connectivity and entertainment more accessible and affordable.
The public sector telecom provider said it remained committed to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Digital India and to building a resilient, future-ready telecommunications network supported by indigenous technologies and customer-centric innovations. BSNL said its workforce continued to serve the nation by providing communication services even under challenging geographical and climatic conditions.
