Bumblebee Society hosts transformative workshops

DIMAPUR

The Bumblebee Society, in collaboration with Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi, and supported by Anaha Public Charitable Trust hosted a two-day training for parents, teachers, and social workers focused on Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, and Behaviour Management on August 7 and 8, at Nagaland Olympic Association Cafeteria Kohima.
A press release by the society informed that the workshop was conducted by specialists from Early Intervention Team of Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi, bringing expert’s knowledge and hands-on strategies to Nagaland.
The sessions highlighted how behaviour was often a form of communication and provided practical tools for addressing challenges faced by children with Autism, Down syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.
Participants learned to identify sensory sensitivities, implement structured “sensory diets” and apply Occupational Therapy techniques to improve regulation, learning, and social participation.
The release added that the event was attended by parents, educators, and social workers from Phek, Dimapur, and Kohima, creating diverse and engaged audience committed to improving outcomes for children with disabilities.
