C-Edge College NSS unit holds special camp at Nihoto

NSS unit of C-Edge College organized its annual special camp in its adopted village Nihoto on October 26 and 27 on the theme “community building”.
In the introductory session, guest speaker S.Inoka Yepthomi, an entrepreneur spoke on the role of youths and students in the society and encouraged the volunteers to move forward in life by sharing from his experiences.
Various community services were carried out by the volunteers within the village. The volunteers were also given a course on self defense from Nitoka black belt I dan, student of 4th semester BA from the C-Edge college, orientation on NSS was presented by the NSS P.O. 
Assistant professor department of BBA, Inza and assistant professor, Alila Ao, department of history gave orientation to the volunteers on leadership skills and the role of youth. 
NSS unit along with the students and faculty of Government High School Nihoto conducted also cleanliness drive on October 27 as a part of the special camp and an awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS and ill effects on consumption of tobacco.
NSS Unit C-Edge College acknowledged the support and cooperation rendered by the community of Nihoto village and the National Peace Prayer Center Nihoto during the camp. 22 volunteers led by NSS programme officer, P.P.Dukpa attended the camp.
