C.L. John inaugurates Terogvunyu Village Gate

Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Village Guards, C L John inaugurated Terogvunyu Village Gate on June 7.
A press release by Divisional Forest Officer & DMU Head, NFMP, Kohima, Rajkumar M informed that the Village Gate was constructed at the entrance of the village funded under Entry Point Activity by the Nagaland Forest Management Project assisted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Speaking at the inauguration programme, the minister lauded the village community for judiciously utilizing the fund to construct the village gate and encouraged the village community to work together with the department for development. Maintaining that Tseminyu district was the gateway for development of other districts, owing to its strategic location, the minister urged the village community to continue their good work and set an example to others. In his short speech, Temjenyabang, Project Director (A, F & P), NFMP lauded the efforts of the village community particularly the Joint Forest Management Committee for executing various works under NFMP.
Village Council chairman, Daniel Tep, in his welcome note, highlighted about the village gate, which was a much-felt need of the village.
During the inauguration, Conservator of Forests (STC), Nagaland, Zuthunglo Patton; DFO & DMU Head Kohima, Rajkumar M; ACF & ADMU Head, Dr. Sevono Seletsu; FMU Head Tseminyu, Yhuntilo Kent; field staff, DMU support staff and representatives from the neighbouring villages attended the inauguration programme.
