Assam Rifles along with Army have recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition on July 27 at “Paglapahar” forest near Chümoukedima, Dimapur.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), based on specific information, troops of AR and Army launched a joint search operation and recovered 15 weapons which include one AK rifle with magazine and bayonet (SKK-45), one 9mm carbine with magazine, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one Pt 22 Pistol with magazine, one Pt 22 pistol with magazine, one pt 22 revolver with magazine, nine SBBL rifle, and huge quality of assorted ammunition, besides other warlike stores.
The recovered arms and ammunition was handed over to Chumukedima Police Station for further investigation, informed Assam Rifles.
