CAKSU holds scholarship drive for needy students

DIMAPUR

Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU) organized a scholarship programme on June 28, at CAKU Hall, Phevima Village, under the theme “Empowering Students.”
The programme witnessed the distribution of one-time grant scholarships to 12 students from six villages, all from economically weaker backgrounds. The scholarships aimed at supporting students who have demonstrated academic potential despite facing financial hardships.
Earlier, the programme was led by general secretary, CAKSU, Visimetuo Nagi and invocation by finance secretary, CAKSU, Kevisenuo Belho. Keynote address was delivered by president, CAKSU, Alenuo Delie, who emphasized the transformative power of education and encouraged students to persevere through challenges. She also highlighted the Union’s vision to uplift and empower students particularly those from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds through educational support.
A short speech was delivered by education and statistical secretary, CAKSU, Vibozo Tetso. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by women co-ordinator, CAKSU, Kevisetouno Nakhro.
