Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU), in collaboration with the Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur and Lions Club Dimapur organized a Blood Donation Camp at Jotsoma Community Hall, Kuda Village (A Khel).
According to CAKSU, the camp was organised in memory of late Dr. Khrielie-ü Kire, the first Naga lady MBBS under the theme: “The gift of blood is the gift of life. Share that precious gift today.”
The primary objective of the camp was to promote voluntary blood donation and ensure supply of blood for those in need. The event saw active participation from various colleges, student organizations, unions, and community members.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Asinuo Dahu, invocation by Mhasibino Nagi, followed by welcome address by Alenuo Delie, president of CAKSU. The significance of blood donation was highlighted through brief speeches by Dr. Joyce Angami (representatives from the family of late Dr. Khrielie-ü Kire), Medical Officer Dr. Rongsen Lkr Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur and Ankit Jain, president of Lions Club Dimapur.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Visimetuo Nagi, general secretary of CAKSU. A total of 40 units of blood were collected at the camp.
