Chakhro Angami Kuda Youth Organisation (CAKYO) has appealed the state government to set up Inner Line Permit (ILP) office counters at all inter-state check gates or at any strategic location for issuance, renewal or checking of ILP instantly.
In a press release, CAKYO president, Ketoulelie Nagi and vice president, Sedevilie Angami highlighted the need for ILP office counters, manned by district administrative staff and police personnel stating that the very purpose of ILP was defeated if there was no “checking mechanism”.
While lauding the state government decision to close all check gates in the state except the inter-state check gates, CAKYO said the decision was a step towards a better Nagaland and a big relief to the common man.
CAKYO also urged the state government not to make any partial reconsideration of its May 19, 2022 notification as demanded by some major Dimapur-based frontal organisations.
Further, CAKYO has requested the competent authority to review the prices of all essential and non-essential commodities particularly in Dimapur and the state in general, though inflation in India was quite high.
