CAKYO calls for strict ILP enforcement

DIMAPUR, JUN 29 (NPN)

Chakhro Angami Kuda Youth Organisation (CAKYO) has expressed deep anguish over the murder of a woman from Mhaikam village and the molestation of a Naga lady in a moving auto-rickshaw allegedly by two non-locals, and strongly denounced all anti-social activities.
CAKYO in a statement also lauded the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union for its stand on various issues affecting the society, including the recent expose of the fraudulent acquisition of indigenous certificate and illegal activities carried out by Nirmal Jain, which it termed as highly commendable.
Declaring that it stood committed to DNSU’s cause, CAKYO said the state government ought to look into the matter with all seriousness and ensure that justice was done. Maintaining that the alleged assault on a Naga customer by non-local traders at Murgipatti, Dimapur spoke volumes, the youth body said that this was not the first case as many such incidents went unreported. It said some years back, a Naga trader/farmer was also assaulted in the same area.
Condemning such impudence, CAKYO warned of taking steps as deemed fit if such instances recur, further reiterating its stand against illegal taxation. According to CAKYO, all these issues revolved around the loophole in the system and the discordant alien culture penetrating into the society, leading to the need for strict implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP).
If there was any need to rectify any fundamental flaw in implementation of ILP in Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts, CAKYO urged the authority concerned and state government to fix it and effectively implement ILP. CAKYO declared that it stood in solidarity with those working for the betterment of society, extending its support to any organisation against these anti-social elements.
