Camp for registration of workers in unorganized sector at Wokha

Commemorating International Labour Day, Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) in collaboration with assistant labour commissioner will be conducting a mini-camp for registration of workers in unorganized sector under the Nagaland building and other construction workers scheme at LTC hall Wokha on May 1. 
A press release from WDLSA said that registration will commence from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For any assistance one may contact WDLSA front office desk during office hours.
It also said that the workers, who have been engaged in building and other construction works (masons, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, painters) are eligible for benefits under this scheme. All construction workers who have completed 18 years of age but have not completed 59 years of age are eligible to registration.  The requirements for registration are, copy of first page bank account pass book linked with Aadhaar (personal account), copy of birth certificate (for migrant workers proof of age certificate will be allowed, if it is from the place of origin), copy of Aadhar card, two passport photo and certificate of proof that the applicant is actually a construction worker.
A registration fee of Rs. 25 is to be paid during the time of registration while, Rs. 300 is to be contributed as premium (annually). It further stated that every registered beneficiary should renew the premium every year.
