CAN hold eucharistic procession

On the third day of the ongoing triennial convention of the Catholic Association of Nagaland (CAN), eucharistic procession was conducted and the declaration of the new CAN executives was announced on Sunday.
The procession started from the venue, St. Joseph College and proceeded towards Jakhama town and back to the venue.
Earlier delivering his homily, Bishop of Kohima, Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil reminded the gathering that attending such a convention should strengthen their faith and need to be more committed in their daily lives.
Highlighting on the theme, “Credible witnesses of Christ” Bishop encouraged the believers to be punctual, sincere, forgiving and honest which was the need of the Naga society.
“To be a credible witness to Christ, we need to give what we have and ought to be thankful and proud of your faith”, said Rev Dr. Thoppil.
He also reminded the gathering on the need to pray consistently, regular to the sacrament and read the scriptures, in order to become credible witnesses of Christ. The service was led by Dr Tesisovi Gerald Meyase. The fourth session was led by president, Lotha Catholic Union, James Ezung and resource person, Rev Dn. Dr Sherman Kuek, OFS presented on the topic, “Living a life of Sacrament” followed by cultural night.
