CAN Youth in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) organised a training on handmade paper bag making to women self help group at Sunrise Colony, Burma Camp on August 17.
A press release from CAN Youth chief functionary, Jenpu Rongmei stated that, training also included an awareness on reducing the single plastic use and promoting paper bags in the market.
This would encourage both the consumers and business community to control the single plastic use.
Trainers were from CAN Youth Mary Konyak, Marina Rongmei and assisted by interns from North East Institute for Social Science & Research, Dimapur.
