Head GB-cum-SMC chairman of Phishumi village has appealed to the higher authority to immediately cancel all the transfer orders of teachers in Government Middle School (GMS) Phishumi In a press release, head GB –sum-SMC chairman, Kughaho Assumi said the school has been left with only two teachers after six of them were transferred by the department of School Education without the knowledge of the School Management Committee (SMC).
The chairman said that government has fully empowered SMC to control and issue NOC if any of the staff wants to transfer. The SMC chairman also said that GMS Phishumi was downgraded by the department of School Education in 2022, but the villagers did not complained. Therefore, the chairman cautioned that the village authorities will be compelled to take its own course of action, in the event of failing to revoke the transfer orders for which the department will be solely held responsible.
