Candle light vigil and prayer for peace in Manipur

Staff Reporter

Hundreds of people, including students joined the candle light vigil that was held at Super Market, Dimapur on Friday and prayed for peace in Manipur. The candlelight vigil was organized by Dimapur Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (DBPF) on the theme “Together in Unity”.
Addressing the gathering, senior pastor, Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur, Rev. Vitoshe Swu, said that the world was not only for one religion or tribe, but belonged to all communities and religion, bonded by love.
Lamenting the ongoing situation in Manipur, he appealed for peace and also requested all to pray for peace. He said that “Satan hated love” and creates issues and burdens in societies time and again so as to create chaos and hatred amongst the peace-loving citizens.
Maintaining everything prophesized in the Bible was taking place, Vitoshe, therefore, urged all to take it as a duty to pray for Manipur. He also appealed to the gathering to pray that such situation did not happen in Nagaland.
Earlier, the programme began with invocation by pastor, Imnatoshi and special number by Alobo Naga and students of Musika.
