DIMAPUR: A team from the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), led by president Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, attended the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at Srinagar on September 12 and 13, 2026.
According to CANSSEA press secretary, Siewatho S. Nyusou, presenting the state activities report, Tsanglao highlighted CANSSEA’s unflinching support to AISGEF in pursuing pay revision with the 8th Central Pay Commission, with a minimum fitment factor of 3.25 or higher, so that all states benefit from the revision. He also noted the association’s engagement with the State government, along with sister associations, to streamline IAS induction for non State civil services on the basis of meritocracy.
Tsanglao further underscored the implementation of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), a comprehensive scheme ensuring cashless treatment for all employees and pensioners in hospitals within and outside the State. He reiterated CANSSEA’s continued support for reverting the New Pension Scheme (NPS) to the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
The association also expressed appreciation to the State government for timely payment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to employees. The two day NEC meeting saw deliberations on several important issues, proposals and demands concerning employees’ welfare across states. A key decision taken was to conduct a national rally at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, on December 12, 2026. Delegates from various states attended the meeting.
