CANSSEA Dimapur Unit to enforce 3-day pen down strike

DIMAPUR

Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), Dimapur Unit, have announced a three-day Pen Down Strike from October 14, 2025, in protest against the inclusion of a non-NPSC candidate in the select list of non-SCS officers for induction into the IAS.
In a circular issued by CANSSEA Dimapur Unit, the strike will be enforced across offices in Dimapur, Niuland, and Chumoukedima districts. The decision follows a directive from the Core Committee and Action Committee of CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA.
The associations expressed concern over the government’s failure to address demands for merit-based selection and transparency. They alleged that the inclusion of a non-NPSC candidate undermines the principles of meritocracy and sets a detrimental precedent.

Extending solidarity with the call issued by CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA and NF&ASA, the Nagaland Land Records and Survey Technical Staff Association (NLR&STSA) has extended full support to the proposed pen down strike from October 14 to 16. In a statement, the association informed that all its members have been directed to strictly observe the strike across their respective offices. It urged the government to address the concerns raised by the federations in a timely and just manner.
