Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) held its triennial session 2020 at CANSSEA conference hall, Themezie, Kohima on November 27. In view of the ongoing COVID-19, the session was held with limited number of invitees.
According to DIPR report, the session was chaired by outgoing CANSSEA president, Dr. Tali Imsong who in his remark called upon CANSSEA members to be ready to face any challenges on any issue in such a trying time like today. Earlier he led the programme with an observance of a minutes silence in memory of CANSSEA members who have passed away. Newly elected president of CANSSEA, Dr. Ilang encouraged members to infuse themselves with the spirit of work culture, to better serve the public and to protect the rights of employees, while also expressing his desire to work with the government.
Office bearers selected for the tenure 2020-23 were Dr. Illang as president, Zubemo Tsanglo and Chubayanger Aier as vice presidents, Dr. Hovithal Sothu as general secretary, Siewatho Nyusou as press and information secretary and Veyielo Doulo as treasurer among others.
