Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA) organised a capacity-building programme on National Pension Scheme (NPS) in the CANSSEA conference hall with resource persons from the directorate of Treasuries & Accounts (T&A) on Friday.
According to a DIPR report, joint director T&A Department, Amenla Jamir presented the facts and figures of NPS and its status in the state. She said there were 30,408 employees with Permanent Retirement Account Number (NPS) under the state government and the delay in paying the employees’ contribution to NPS account posed a big challenge to all the departments.
The nodal officers and dealing assistants of NPS from various directorates had an interactive session with officials of T&a department. Various issues with regard to NPS were clarified and the house expressed the need to bring in more innovative steps to solve the problems.
