A delegation from the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employee’s Association (CANSSEA), led by president Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, attended the National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting of the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF), held from August 15 to 18, at Sukumolsen Bhavan, Faridabad.
According to a press release, during the four-day meeting, the CANSSEA team presented a comprehensive state report, which included updates on key matters such as the recent AISGEF National Strike, implementation of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), and the regularization of contractual employees in Nagaland.
In a session dedicated to women employees, joint secretary, CANSSEA, Toshinaro Jamir made a special presentation highlighting the status of women in the workforce, their contribution to preserving traditional Naga attires, and the cultural roles of women employees in the state.
Other agenda discussed in NEC meeting included Central Pay Revision, Dearness Allowances, Health Insurance, health & Education, membership campaign & fees, Conference of Affiliates, Employees Forum Magazine & Literature, Library, Contractual Employees, National Conference, Cultural programmes, media cell and amendment of the constitution.
The National Executive Committee meeting also nominated four members to the post of AISGEF office bearers filling up vacancies, whereby president, CANSSEA, Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, was inducted among the secretaries of AISGEF. Delegates from North East states under the umbrella of NESGETUF also held special meeting with president and general secretary AISGEF, whereby various issues pertaining to service matters of employees in the North East States were deliberated. It was also decided that the next NESGETUF conference will be held in Meghalaya at the earliest.
