Career guidance, cyber-safety and skill training awareness session was conducted at Meluri town, by DEF PHEK in collaboration with Chakhesang Students’ Union and Meluri Town Students’ Union at Meluri town council hall.
SP Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, spoke on career guidance and cyber safety. She gave insights on various competitive exams and their study materials. She also encouraged them to be vigilant for cyber scams in the present world and appealed them to register complaint via 1930 helpline or NCRP portal in case of cyber-crimes and urged to be cyber volunteers to spread awareness.
NIT professor, Sayeed Khan spoke on cyber space, ethical hacking, social media misuse and its prevention. He urged the students to stay safe from sextortion, phishing, vishing, deep fake technology and other types of cyber-crimes. He advised that apps downloaded now these days should not be leading to leaking of personal data, no public wifi usage, fake chargers, etc and hence protective measures should be used.
Sahil from MGN Fellowship explained various government schemes and programmes for students and SHGs.
The programme was chaired by Chistiaraho Po, invocation by K Kajiri (MVBC), Povozo, from CSU delivered the welcome address and benediction by GS MKK, Rhothovi.
