A 5-day cataract eye camp was held at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH), Wokha from January 28 to February 1.
A press release from district media officer NHM Wokha, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that the camp was organized by District Health Society, National Programme for Control of Blindness & VI. The team was led by eye surgeon, Dr. Phyantsuthung, staff nurses and ophthalmic assistants. Altogether 25 cataract surgeries and 15 minor surgeries were conducted by the team.
