Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Dimapur, Dr. Kelesekho Tsukru has informed all cattle owners under Dimapur, Nuiland and Chumoükedima districts to vaccinate their cattle with Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination provided by department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS).
In a press release, the CVO Dimapur informed that the AH&VS department has been carrying out FMD vaccination all over the state since 2022 on the directive of government of India.
In this regard, CVO has asked all cattle owners of the three districts to render cooperation to the department staffs and officials engaged in FMD vaccination which would continue till January 2023.
Further, CVO has urged the cattle owners to avail the opportunity to vaccinate their animals as and when the department staffs visit their respective villages/locality.
