CBCC endorse CMA’s initiatives

In order to conduct peaceful election and to curb the menace in the society, Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) organized to set up check gates in their respective areas and villages to check the inflow of intoxicating drinks into Phek district.  A press release by Chakesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo informed that mothers group had seized many liquor bottles in the gates. It stated that mothers have been sacrificing their energy, time and resources to save its people from the destruction of alcohol. It also informed that Pfütsero Town Mothers Association in its surprise checking of liquor selling along with police, dobashis, youth and chairman of the colonies seized a huge quantity of illegal liquor worth 6 lakhs which were destroyed in the presence of police and administration.
 In this regard, CBCC expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Mothers association, youth, chairman of all colonies, dobashis, administrative officers, police, and all the people who assisted in checking sale of liquor. CBCC said that they have saved its people from the ill effects of liquor in the society and further prayed that God to richly endeavours its deeds and urged to continue to do good work for the welfare of its people.
