CC launched at Alder College Kohima

A Community College (CC), to offer courses on cooking and music, was launched at Alder College Kohima (ACK) in partnership with Livelihood Enhancement Centre (LEC) and Symphony Academy of Music (SAM) on September 18.

A press release from ACK principal, Dr. Rükhono Iralu stated that Kevi Liegise, chairman of the college, gave a brief inspirational talk and described skill education as life supporting because it provides gainful employment and meaningful existence.

He also stated that this was the beginning of a long cherished goal of the college. Earlier, the principal, Dr Rükhono Iralu, and Rovi Chasie and Mele Pucho, both directors of collaborating bodies, all spoke on the importance of including skill courses with regular education to make education more meaningful and practically beneficial. Zhapuvi Liegise was introduced as the nodal officer. In total, 100 persons have registered, 50 for each trade.
