DIMAPUR: A newly constructed Cement Concrete (CC) road at Kozabe village (7th Mile) under the MGNREGA Scheme 2025–26 was formally inaugurated on June 5 by Block Development Officer (BDO), Chümoukedima, Seyiekhrielie Rio, who attended the programme as special guest.
The inauguration programme was attended by village leaders, community members, officials and stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the completion of the project aimed at improving connectivity and transportation in the village.
Addressing the gathering, the BDO congratulated the villagers and appreciated the collective efforts of all stakeholders in the successful implementation of the project. He stressed the importance of community participation in maintaining public infrastructure for long‑term benefit.
Marking World Environment Day, Seyiekhrielie also spoke on the importance of proper solid waste management at the grassroots level. He encouraged villagers to adopt responsible waste segregation and disposal practices and called for collective efforts towards maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
Village representatives expressed gratitude to the concerned departments and individuals involved in the project, stating that the newly inaugurated road would significantly enhance accessibility and support overall development of the village.
