Churches Colony Council (CCC) held an emergency meeting for welfare of the colony on June 20 and adopted some resolutions.
A press release from CCC chairperson, Kuholy Chishi stated that, the resolutions were passed in regard to garages/motor workshops for strict compliance, and non-adherence of which shall invite penalty.
CCC resolved that only power/commercial line should be used due to their usage of heavy power consuming equipments. Secondly, it resolved that oil, lubricants, paints and chemicals should not be spilled on the ground but be stored in a container and disposed in proper manner. Thirdly, fire extinguishers should be kept/installed for emergency and should be complied within one month from the date of issue of this notice. It also resolved that tyres and waste should not be burned. It also resolved that vehicle repairing, painting, accessories fitting should not be carried out on roads. Its sixth resolution stipulated that double lane parking on roads should not be done. It also resolved that Sunday closure was compulsory except for cleaning purposes. CCC further stated that, the work timings earlier notified was to be strictly followed.
