Chümoukedima Circle Chakhroma Public Organisation (CCCPO) at its executive meeting held on August 3, 2023 reiterated its stand on “one government, one tax” under its jurisdiction which was passed by the Naga people on October 31, 2013.
In a press release, CCCPO president Khriebulie Peseyie and general secretary Ruokuozhalie Rutsa stated various “national groups” were demanding taxes from villages and business establishments under its jurisdiction and causing undue harassment to village leaders. CCCPO, which comprising of 17 villages under Chümoukedima district, has, therefore, asked the “national groups” not to indulge in “demeaning activities”, but instead focus on “uniting with each other for an amicable political solution.”
