Chakhroma Christian Revival Church, Sub-Council (CCRC-SC), Dimapur has strongly condemned the physical assault meted against one of its dedicated church worker Neisatuo Shiinyii of Sovima village by two persons claiming to be NNPG on October 22.
In a condemnation note issued by CCRC- SB Chairman, Whezo Yhokha stated that CCRC-SC was deeply pained to know that the victim was beaten mercilessly without reasons nor enquired upon to who he was and in front of all the mute spectators in Chumoükedima town on October 22 at 3:30 p.m. when he went for groceries.
The council raised deep concern on the high handedness of certain UGs and saddened to know that even church workers are not spared these days.
In this regard, CCRC-SC has appealed to the higher authorities of the NPGs to rein in on the erring cadres as such miscreants bring about bad image to the whole organisation, thereby losing public sympathy and support.
It has expressed hope that no such untoward incident is repeated in future against the peaceful citizens especially church workers.
